Eska

Founded in Switzerland in 1918 under the name S. Kocher & Co, Eska draws on more than a century of watchmaking history. The brand rapidly expanded across Europe, North America and Brazil, producing everything from classic watches to chronographs and sophisticated complications. Its history became particularly significant in the diving world in 1959 with the launch of the Amphibian 600, one of its most emblematic models. Designed as a robust diving watch, it was notably used by the French Navy according to the brand. Its distinctive design and professional purpose have often led to comparisons with other major historic dive watches of the period. After nearly 70 years of activity and more than 250 models, Eska ceased operations in 1987 during the quartz crisis. The brand was revived in 2024 by Christophe Chevreton and Sinicha Knezevic. This relaunch draws directly on Eska’s watchmaking heritage, particularly the legacy of the Amphibian 600. The modern Amphibian 250 now represents a contemporary reinterpretation of this historic dive watch. Assembled in Besançon, today’s Eska watches combine vintage inspiration, modern mechanical watchmaking and the heritage of professional diving instruments.
