MK II draws its inspiration primarily from American and British military history. Its creations adopt the functional codes of watches once designed for pilots, divers, and special forces. The Paradive, for example, is inspired by a watch developed for certain American special forces units during the Cold War. The Hawkinge, meanwhile, evokes the famous British pilot's watches meeting the Mark 11 specification.
