Garmin MARQ Diver (Gen 3) Watch
Starting from 3.150 €The Garmin MARQ Diver (Gen 3) is a high-end connected dive watch that brings together the underwater world and the world of sailing within the third-generation MARQ collection. Conceived as a genuine tool watch, it supports scuba diving, freediving and snorkelling with a depth gauge certified to 40 metres, while also controlling compatible onboard equipment. Its styling borrows from classic dive watches a graduated bezel and an analogue-inspired dial, displayed on a digital screen. Priced at €3,150, it is aimed at divers, boaters and technical watch enthusiasts looking for a complete, connected and self-sufficient instrument, without giving up the polished presentation of an exceptional timepiece.
Garmin MARQ Diver (Gen 3) dive watch
With the MARQ collection, Garmin chose to carry its expertise in connected watches into the realm of the exceptional object. Launched in 2019, the range saw a second generation in 2022 before being thoroughly renewed with a third generation announced on 13 October 2026. This latest line comprises six 47 mm models, each tied to a specific world: Adventurer, Athlete, Aviator, Commander, Diver and Golfer.
The Diver is presented as the newest member of this family. It takes over from the second-generation MARQ Captain, which was geared towards pleasure boating. Rather than abandoning that nautical heritage, the newcomer extends it into the underwater world: it keeps the functions useful to a skipper and adds a genuine diving profile.
Technically, the third-generation MARQ is built on the Fenix 9, the brand's flagship connected GPS watch. The Diver also draws on two well-known lineages among practitioners: the Descent range, dedicated to diving, and the Quatix range, devoted to the marine world. It does not inherit everything from them, however, since wireless tank pressure integration remains exclusive to the Descent line. This dual heritage makes the MARQ Diver a tool watch apart. It does not try to imitate a mechanical diver, but it recaptures the visual codes of one to dress a digital instrument designed for water, boat and adventure.

The Garmin MARQ Diver (Gen 3) connected dive watch
The MARQ Diver (Gen 3) borrows the silhouette of a traditional dive watch to better dress up its electronic nature. Its 47 mm case in grade 5 titanium is surrounded by a blue ceramic bezel, coloured throughout its material, whose markings are engraved and then filled with ink. This bezel carries a 60-minute quick timer, a direct nod to classic dive watches, while a domed sapphire crystal protects the display. Under this crystal there are no hands or gears: the Diver is a connected GPS watch whose dial takes the form of a 1.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen. This borderless screen can display an analogue-style layout, preserving the watch's classic look in everyday use, before switching to data screens as soon as activity begins.

Its playground is twofold. Underwater, it supports scuba diving, freediving and snorkelling. On the surface, it becomes a navigation assistant capable of communicating with onboard equipment. This versatility explains its positioning within the collection: priced at 3,150€, it sits at the same level as the Aviator and the Commander, above the Athlete, which opens the range at 2,550€. The result is a dive watch that fully embraces digital technology while taking care with its materials and presentation, a balance still rare among connected wrist instruments.
Diving, navigation and connectivity on the wrist
The MARQ Diver's case pairs titanium with a nano-moulded polymer, a construction that allows radio signals to pass through. It measures 15 mm thick and weighs just 62 g without its strap. This technical choice has a direct consequence: no metal bracelet is possible, as the LTE and satellite antennas rule it out. Comfort therefore relies on a silicone rubber strap fitted with a deployant clasp and a 15 mm micro-adjustment, handy for fine-tuning the fit throughout the day. In terms of water resistance, the watch is rated to 10 ATM, with a depth gauge certified to 40 m. Its induction-based waterproof buttons retain a mechanical click and are built into a sealed case.

The diving functions specific to this model include worldwide DiveView maps, with depths and dive sites, as well as Dive Readiness, NDL Aware, a Gauge mode and an Apnea Hunt mode. Onboard, it controls the autopilot via a compatible Garmin chartplotter or a GHC 50, and offers tack assist, a virtual starting line with regatta countdown and onboard data display. The built-in inReach, over LTE and satellite, offers an SOS function subject to subscription, complemented by a speaker, a microphone, an LED light, ECG and 128 GB of storage. Battery life reaches up to 18 days in smartwatch mode.
Garmin MARQ Diver (Gen 3) dive watch: the connected instrument of the depths
The Garmin MARQ Diver (Gen 3) combines a 47 mm grade 5 titanium case, a blue ceramic bezel and a domed sapphire crystal with a 1.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen. Water resistant to 10 ATM, it features a depth gauge certified to 40 m and covers scuba diving, freediving and snorkelling thanks to DiveView maps, Gauge mode and Apnea Hunt mode. It also controls the autopilot on equipped boats, integrates inReach over LTE and satellite, and claims up to 18 days of battery life. Supplied with a second silicone strap, it is priced at €3,150.
Movement
The MARQ Diver does not contain a horological movement: it is a connected GPS watch with electronic operation, with no calibre in the traditional sense. It is built on the Fenix 9 platform, from which it inherits most of its tracking, navigation and communication capabilities. The digital display can adopt an analogue style to retain the spirit of a classic dive watch. Charging is done via a magnetic cable, with up to 18 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, leaving a comfortable margin between charges.
Diameter and materials
The case measures 47 mm in diameter by 15 mm thick, bold proportions that stand out clearly on the wrist. It is made of grade 5 titanium, nano-moulded with a polymer to let radio signals pass through, and weighs just 62 g on its own. The titanium and ceramic bezel features a blue ceramic coloured throughout its material, with markings engraved and then filled with ink. A domed sapphire crystal protects the 1.4-inch, 454 × 454 pixel AMOLED screen.
Water resistance
The MARQ Diver is rated water resistant to 10 ATM, and its depth gauge certified to 40 m sets the limit for diving use. It is therefore suited to scuba diving, freediving and snorkelling. The sealed case features induction-based waterproof buttons that retain a mechanical click under the finger. Underwater, the Gauge, Apnea Hunt and NDL Aware modes, along with the Dive Readiness indicator, complement the 60-minute quick timer graduated on the ceramic bezel.
Accessories
The MARQ Diver is fitted on a silicone rubber strap closed with a titanium deployant clasp, equipped with a 15 mm micro-adjustment for fine-tuning the fit. No metal bracelet is offered for this generation, as the LTE and satellite antennas rule it out. The box contains the watch, an additional sport silicone strap, a braided magnetic charging cable and documentation. This second strap offers an immediate alternative for switching between sailing outings and diving sessions.
Warranty
The Garmin MARQ Diver comes with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers any manufacturing or material defects and malfunctions related to normal use of the watch. In the event of a recognised fault, Garmin may repair or replace the product in accordance with its warranty terms. Accidental damage, impacts, scratches, natural wear and deterioration resulting from misuse are not covered. This protection is in addition to the statutory warranties applicable in France.
