Corrigia 01 Dive Watch

Starting from 8.500 €

The Corrigia 01 is an extraordinary dive watch, born in the German Manufaktur at Jockgrim to celebrate the brand's tenth anniversary. Limited to 50 pieces per version, it features a 48mm solid CuSn8 bronze case, a 4.7mm sapphire crystal and an architecture built for extremes, with two interchangeable screw-down casebacks that shift water resistance from 300 to 3,000 metres. Powered by a Swiss manufacture calibre from La Joux-Perret, it comes in seven dial executions, three hand-patinated and four sunray-finished, priced between 8,500 and 8,900 euros. A hand-built, massive dive watch made for collectors of rare pieces.

Corrigia 01 dive watch

Corrigia is a German manufacturer founded in Karlsruhe in 2013, first known for its leather goods and handmade watch straps produced using historical techniques from the 1930s to the 1960s. Development, production and showroom are now brought together under one roof in Jockgrim, in the Palatinate, across more than a thousand square metres. The house only produces small limited series and holds to a simple design principle, form follows function. Its collections are distributed in Switzerland through Embassy in Lucerne, and its straps are found at MisterChrono in Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Corrigia 01 is the Manufaktur's tenth anniversary watch, unveiled in late 2021 and limited to fifty pieces. In a rare move for a workshop that started out with straps, here it is the strap that dictated the watch. That is where the very wide 26mm lug width comes from, along with the 3.8mm lug-to-hole distance and screwed lugs designed to take six-millimetre thick True Vintage leathers. The solid bronze case, the unidirectional bezel with screwed pips and the massive crown guard round out a distinctly handcrafted dive watch silhouette.

Each piece is assembled by hand in Jockgrim by qualified watchmaker Simon Mayer, who checks technical function and finishing before shipping. On its release, the specialist press placed this diver alongside the most select Italian and German artisanal divers, a family of tool watches produced in very small numbers for knowledgeable enthusiasts.

The Corrigia 01 Bronze dive watch

The Corrigia 01 makes its extreme tool-watch vocation clear from the outset. Its 48mm solid CuSn8 bronze case, 15.50mm thick, wears like an instrument, with a wrist presence that few contemporary divers can claim. The bronze is brushed and polished, then patinated, an alloy that evolves with time and contact with skin. The rotating bezel is also in bronze, with screwed and polished pips, while a massive screwed crown guard shields the crown from knocks. Legibility rests on a diamond-engraved dial made using the traditional pocket-milling technique, which cuts hour markers, text and logo deep into the surface.

Each dial is then hand-filled in Switzerland, in eighty steps, with Super-LumiNova SLN Old Radium. The brushed gilt bronze hands receive the same compound, for consistent night-time visibility. Above, a 4.7mm thick sapphire crystal protects the whole and directly contributes to pressure resistance. The lug architecture stems from the house's strap-making expertise: 26mm lug width, screwed lugs and a 3.8mm lug-to-hole distance, calibrated for thick leathers. Watch and strap form a whole designed together here, not a case to which a strap is simply added.

Seven dial executions for series of 50 pieces

The model comes in seven dial executions, all housed in the same bronze case. Three of them receive an elaborately applied radial galvanic vintage patina: Bronze Gris P with a grey-black dial, Bronze P-Olive in a very military olive-black tone, and Bronze P-Brown whose brown-black shade blends most naturally with the case metal. These three versions are priced at 8,500 euros. The other four take on a sunray finish and are priced at 8,900 euros: Bronze S-Noir, Bronze S-Bleu, Bronze S-Vert and Bronze S-Blanc, the only light dial in the series with its silver-white tone.

The most singular point of this diver lies elsewhere. The watch ships with two interchangeable screw-down casebacks: a solid steel Pro caseback that raises water resistance to 3,000 m / 300 ATM, and a Style caseback with three round sapphire portholes that brings it back to 300 m / 30 ATM while revealing the movement. The owner thus chooses between abyssal performance and mechanical pleasure. The anniversary nature of the piece rounds things off. Issued in 50 pieces per version for the Manufaktur's tenth anniversary, each watch comes with a limitation certificate and a signed card, delivered with the wood and leather case.

Corrigia 01 dive watch: the instrument for the deep

The Corrigia 01 combines a 48mm CuSn8 bronze case, a 4.7mm sapphire crystal and a unidirectional 120-click bezel with screwed bronze pips. Its two interchangeable screw-down casebacks shift water resistance from 300 metres with the sapphire caseback to 3,000 metres with the solid steel Pro caseback. The MLJP-G100 manufacture calibre from La Joux-Perret beats at 4 Hz and offers 70 hours of power reserve. The dial, diamond-engraved and hand-filled in Switzerland with Super-LumiNova Old Radium, exists in seven executions. The whole is hand-assembled in Jockgrim and limited to 50 pieces per version.

Movement

The Corrigia 01 is powered by the MLJP-G100 manufacture calibre from La Joux-Perret, in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This Swiss Made automatic movement beats at 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour, features 24 jewels and a 51-degree lift angle. Its bidirectional winding rotor runs on ceramic ball bearings and is decorated with Geneva stripes, visible through the sapphire caseback. The 70-hour power reserve allows the watch to sit unworn over a whole weekend without needing to be reset.

Diameter and materials

The case measures 48mm in diameter for a total height of 15.50mm, with a 26mm lug width. It is machined from solid CuSn8 bronze, brushed and polished, then patinated, a low-maintenance alloy. Bezel, double-gasket screw-down crown, crown guard and bezel pips are made from the same metal, with IPG-treated screws. The 4.7mm sapphire crystal completes the package. The dial comes in patinated grey, olive or brown, or in sunray black, blue, green and silver-white.

Water resistance

Two stainless steel screw-down casebacks are supplied with the watch. The solid Pro caseback raises water resistance to 3,000 m / 300 ATM, a figure reserved for the most extreme divers. The Style caseback, fitted with three round sapphire portholes, brings it back to 300 m / 30 ATM while revealing the movement. The double-gasket CuSn8 bronze screw-down crown is shielded by a massive screwed crown guard. The 120-click unidirectional bezel completes the watch's water-resistance setup.

Accessories

The delivery is particularly comprehensive. Buyers put together their own set of five straps of their choice, from handmade True Vintage leathers to FKM rubber, all fitted with a 26mm lug width. These come with a brushed screwed CuSn8 bronze Corrigia buckle, the two interchangeable Pro and sapphire casebacks, a strap-changing tool that allows easy swapping between models, a manual and a wood and leather case designed to hold the watch, straps and tools.

Warranty

Corrigia backs each piece with an international 2-year warranty on function. The warranty card is signed by hand and states the purchase date, accompanied by the limitation certificate confirming inclusion in the anniversary series. Each watch is assembled and inspected in Jockgrim by qualified watchmaker Simon Mayer, who checks technical function and aesthetic finishing before shipping. A direct level of care from the Manufaktur, consistent with production in very small series.
