Farer is an independent British house founded in London in 2015 by Paul Sweetenham. It designs its watches in the United Kingdom and has them assembled in Switzerland, a principle summed up by its house motto, British Design x Swiss Made. The Aqua Compressor was born in 2017 with a first steel Endeavour. Farer revived the super compressor principle devised in the 1950s by Ervin Piquerez S.A.: the case seals compress under water pressure, so that water resistance improves with depth. From this idea comes the family's signature, two screw-down crowns, one for setting the time, the other for driving the unidirectional internal rotating bezel.
Unveiled in June 2025, the third series is the most accomplished step in this line, with its titanium case, latest generation luminescent material and Swiss calibre regulated in four positions. The names of the versions continue the brand's naval tradition: Endeavour refers to James Cook's exploration ship, which left Plymouth in 1768, Hecla to a Royal Navy vessel launched in 1815 and later converted for Arctic exploration. For every piece sold, Farer donates part of the proceeds to the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust, a Scottish marine conservation charity that operates the research vessel Silurian.

The case, carved from grade 2 titanium, measures 41.5 mm in diameter for 12.5 mm of thickness and 45 mm lug to lug, with a stated mass of 62 grams that makes it particularly discreet on the wrist. Its finishing pairs a sun brushed top with polished flanks and caseback, a contrast that highlights the curvature of the case without ever tipping into showiness.
Two screw-down titanium crowns, topped with chequered bronze cabochons stamped with Farer's A, mark out the family: the top one sets the time, the bottom one drives the unidirectional internal rotating bezel, whose engraved minute markers are filled with luminescent material. The Aqua Compressor is rated at 300 m / 30 ATM water resistance, achieved through the super compressor principle: water pressure compresses the seals and strengthens tightness as depth increases. This figure assumes both crowns are screwed down; with the crowns unscrewed, resistance drops to 100 metres. The unidirectional internal rotating bezel, driven by the lower crown, carries engraved minute markers filled with Super-LumiNova Grade X2, like the hour markers and hands, for reliable tracking of immersion time.
