Elliot Brown presents it as the first issue watch created by a British watchmaking brand in over a decade, with the original model carrying a NATO Stock Number. The name refers to Holton Heath, the site of a former cordite factory in Dorset.
The Auto GMT version extends this lineage. It reuses the Holton case and fits it with the Seiko NH34 movement, which adds a 24-hour hand adjustable independently. The brand explains it made minor changes to the inside of the shockproof construction so the GMT version would not gain any extra thickness, and designed a specific engraved caseback with the shield and globe logo.
