Ianos

Ianos is a watch brand of Greek origin that draws inspiration from Greece's history, mythology and maritime traditions. Its journey began around 2015, when its founder set out to create a mechanical watch paying tribute to the heritage of Greek divers. The name Ianos refers to Janus, the Roman deity symbolizing the past and the future. The brand stands out for its distinctive mechanical dive watches, combining historical heritage with contemporary design. Its first model, the Avyssos, takes inspiration from traditional Greek sponge divers who practiced freediving using the kampanelopetra technique. The Mihanikos pays tribute to Greek helmet divers and the evolution of professional diving. These Swiss-made watches feature Sellita mechanical movements, stainless steel cases and 300-meter water resistance. Their dials incorporate elements inspired by ancient instruments and historical diving equipment. Ianos therefore embraces a watchmaking philosophy in which functionality, original design and the preservation of maritime heritage play a central role.
